We are proud of our stringent safety standards in all of our work processes. Our Health, Safety and Environment Plan and Safe Work Procedures ensure we manage the risks inherent in our industry. We aim to create a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible working environment for our valued employees, contractors and clients through our:

  • Rigorous routine inspections and hazard identification procedures
  • Early identification and removal of workplace hazards
  • Monitoring and updating safety procedures to improve performance
  • Compliance with government regulation and legislations
    • Occupational Health & Safety Welfare Act 1984
    • Western Australian Mine Safety and Inspection Act
    • Workers Compensation & Injury Management Act 1981

  • Insistence on a workplace culture of responsibility and accountability
  • Promotion of safety awareness among our employees and contractors

Employees are required to meet the following pre-employment checks and hold current certifications in the following:

  • Police clearance
  • Mine workers health surveillance
  • MARCSTA  
  • Senior first aid
  • Pre-employment Medical
  • Drug and Alcohol test
  • Construction Safety Awareness Training (Blue Card)
  • HR License


We believe that assessment and training are an important part of our Safety Program.  Which is why our employees are assessed using Drilling Industry Competency Standards and are trained in:

  • Australian Drilling Industry Training Committee Ltd
    • Certificate II in Geotechnical, Environmental and Exploration Drilling
    • Cert III in Geotechnical, Environmental and Exploration Drilling
  • Senior First Aid
  • Job Safety Analysis
  • Safe Work Procedures
  • Hazardous Waste removal


We also have ongoing, practical training to develop competence including:

  • 4WD Driver Training
  • Working at Heights
  • Manual Handling
  • HIAB Training
  • Rio Tinto Induction
  • Job Hazard Analysis
  • Fire Extinguisher training
  • Sea survivor training


Our industry accreditation is based on Drilling Industry Competency Standards. We are:

  • Current members of the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA)
  • Licensed Class 1&2 Waterwell drilling contractors
  • Pre-qualified contractors with Main Roads WA
  • Accredited contractors for the Australian Institute of Petroleum
