Hagstrom Drilling, through the acquisition of equipment and resources from Probetec, have further enhanced our capabilities and services by offering Cone Penetration Testing.
Geotechnical and Environmental Services rendered:
- Cones for Geotechnical investigation.
- Mechanical, CPT, CPTU, Seismic Cone Testing as well as Piezometer installation and Water samples.
- Cones for environmental investigation.
- Mostap 35 and 35ps Soil sampler and Conductivity.
These services are provided whilst adhering to the following standards:
- According to International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGe), and;
- Australian Standards AS1289.6.5.1.1999.
As well as extensive field experience and expertise, the Hagstrom Drilling Probetec track truck is a unique mobile vehicle which was the first of its kind in Australia.
Thanks to the integrated track system, which is remotely controlled from the driver’s cabin, the track truck runs as an ordinary truck on the roads but can gain access to sites within the most difficult of terrain. When tracks are lowered, it reduces the wheel load by 60 to 70% pushing weight (20 tonne).The truck is fitted with a sixteen bit system which means that the tip resistance can be measured as low as 0.004 MPa, Local friction 0.00005 MPa and pore pressure as low as 0.0004 Bar, test speed 2cm/s.
