Maret Island Geotechnical Investigation
Engaged by Inpex Corporation to provide geotechnical drilling on Maret Island for the proposed site of the Inpex Browse Ichthys gas field, a UDR-100 Heliportable drill rig (DR005) was utilised to facilitate obtaining access to borehole locations with minimal disturbance to the environment. A combination of PQ and HQ drilling was completed.
The Samson Explorer was utilised as a support and accomodation vessel to ensure drilling activites where appropriately supported.
